Hi Alexis...

Yes this is an isssue...
We recently updated the development WIKI to show numpy/sipy dependencies.
http://projects.scipy.org/neuroimaging/ni/wiki/GetCode

(1.0.3.1 is the target version for compatibility with Nipy)
(0.5.2.1 is the target scipy version for compatibility with Nipy)

We are working on an update to bring Nipy in line with a more current
and stable version of Scipy...I'm just working with Nipy code, others
are working on scipy and numpy, so they will have more insight.
