Hi,
Pittsburgh Brain Activity Interpretation Competition (2007) is about to
start (tomorrow, AFAIK) after some delays due to technical reasons. As
you know I'm enforcing Python as best language to deal with fMRI data :)
I think datasets will be available in one week.

The latest news I have are:
- they (Pittsburgh) are pushing matlab because of the large user base,
through
this toolbox: http://www.csbmb.princeton.edu/mvpa/
done by the EBC Princeton group (one of the strongest teams last year)
- the data formats available will be exactly same as last year, so:
- anz and brainvoyager for functional data
- brainvoyager and afni for surface data
- anz, bv and afni for structural data
- I haven't new information about their availability to host and
promote code for other languages. I believe Pittsburgh will have a proper
space in short time. I'll keep you updated.
I'm actively working on some machine learning tools to approach
functional data
(prediction, selection etc.) and hope to have something decent in future.
If someone is interested in writing some code to make life easier to
python competitors, please let me know.
Thanks,
Emanuele
