Ok, if there is a legitimate reason for this, and debian stable might be one 
(also, i heard 2.3 is default on MacOSX too), maybe we should just avoid 
using env and run the test directly from python.
We got error in using 2.4 simply because of the directory paths, since we 
settled all of our packaging, including binaries, on a python 2.5 tree.
