Hey,

I couldn't quite follow the conversasion. But I have used the
instructions for the fedora install:
http://projects.scipy.org/neuroimaging/ni/wiki/DevelopmentInstallFedora

I have tested it on both FC4 and FC5 several times and it always works
fine for me. The order of the sequence is important. You should be
able to just cut and paste the text from the wiki (that's what I do).
If it isn't working, it might be that you don't have a clean install
of fedora. In other words, the instructions only work if you don't
all ready have atlas, numpy, etc. installed.

>From what I see it looks like you are having a hard time installing
numpy (due to a missing atlas dependency). Did you install
atlas-devel using:
  sudo yum install atlas-devel
before attempting to install numpy? I haven't needed to change the
site.cfg file for numpy on Fedora 4 or 5.

If you have a problem with one of the steps, let me know what step it
failed on and how it failed. Also let me know that you followed all
the previous steps first.

Good luck!

Thanks,
